apt-get install dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d
Fedora Core
Doing a fresh install of (the current) Fedora Core 2 dovecot will be installed by default.
yum install dovecot
FreeBSD and OpenBSD
cd /usr/ports/mail/dovecot; make install
